Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of Project Twin (“we”) for the use of Project Twin. By creating an account you accept them.
What Project Twin is, and is not
Project Twin provides an AI companion modelled on one partner, for the private use of a couple. It generates content with artificial intelligence: replies can be wrong, incomplete or oddly phrased, and nothing the twin says is a statement, commitment or opinion of the real partner unless it is explicitly marked as sent by them. Project Twin is not a medical, psychological, legal or financial service, is not couples therapy, and is not an emergency service. If someone is in danger, contact local emergency services.
Accounts and pairing
You must be 18 or older, provide an email address you control, and keep your sign-in codes to yourself. A couple is two people joined by a pairing code; treat the code like a key and rotate it in the app if it leaks.
Voice consent
You may only create a voice clone of yourself, with the spoken consent recording. Cloning or attempting to impersonate any person without their consent is prohibited.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Project Twin to break the law, to harass, defraud or impersonate anyone, to probe or disrupt the service, or to attempt to extract other people’s data. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do.
Your content and our licence
Your messages, recordings and memories remain yours. You grant us the limited licence needed to operate the service for your couple, as described in the Privacy Policy, and nothing more. The Project Twin software, design and brand are ours.
Availability and changes
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep it reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, and we may change or discontinue features with reasonable notice.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for decisions taken in reliance on AI-generated content, or for the state of any relationship. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50 if you paid nothing.
Termination
You may stop using Project Twin and request deletion at any time (see the Privacy Policy for the deletion process). We may terminate for breach of these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the operator’s place of incorporation, and disputes fall to the courts of that place, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections where you live.
